Donatella Failoni writes an autobiographical book, in which she not only tells about how she fell in love with Sándor Ozter, but also confesses frankly about family secrets she had never heard.

Every year, in early spring, Donatella Failoni moves down to Balatonrendes to her house on the top of the hill, from where she only goes home in late autumn, when the cold sets in. He loves life in Balaton, gardening, organizing large dinners for his local friends and, when time permits, he sits down to write his autobiography. He has to write down the exciting, interesting and special history of many decades, perhaps that is why he is making slow progress with it, writes Bors.

Ozter was a friend of her first husband

In connection with the book, memories emerge that Donatella has never spoken about in public. Among them is the moment when she first saw the charming young actor, Sándor Ozter, who was a good friend of the pianist's first husband.

Few people know that I had two marriages. My first husband is Péter Dobai, Kossuth and József Attila award-winning poet and writer. He had a good friend Sándor Ozter. When he came to visit us for the first time, my mother saw him and said: "If I were a twenty-year-old daughter, I would definitely fall in love with this beautiful man!" I laughed at him and replied "hell need a womanizer this handsome!"

Donatella Failoni tells about her memories.

He didn't get slapped

During our friendly meetings, he did ask once or twice if I would like to drink a cognac with him, but he was never pushy, he respected the fact that I was his friend's wife, Donatella continued.

That marriage quickly ended, and because of my work, I ran into Sándor several times at events. Such was the case on October 17, 1977, when we were in Cegléd at the Muskátli Presso for an Attila Bartók Béla-József evening. It happened there that he looked at me, I at him, and for a few seconds we forgot about each other. We were meters apart, yet it was as if there were only two of us in the room. We didn't even hear the music. Then before he went home, he approached me and kissed my neck.

The naughty one... - Donatella laughed to herself. But he didn't get slapped, instead I gave him my phone number. He came up to me the same day, we talked until four in the morning. We didn't touch each other, we just chatted.

That's when I realized that Sándor is not just an empty-headed handsome boy, but a mature man who is smart, who thinks well, and whose every thought is valuable. He left at dawn saying that he would come for me at eight the next evening. He came... We stayed together for 42 years until his death.
