Emotions was presented on September 27, in the exhibition space of the Nagyszeben Mayor's Office .
Among contemporary Hungarian photographers, perhaps the representative who has received the most international awards is a member of the jury of the Szeben International Photographic Salon. The organizer of the international salon, Orizont Fotoklub, seized the opportunity and surprised the people of Great Sibiu with a special, but at the same time very valuable exhibition.
István Kerekes is from Marosvásárhely and has been living in Mosonmagyaróvár, Hungary for fifteen years. The photographer is the owner of more than 4,000 awards and medals. In 2018, he received the highest award of the international photography association (FIAP), recognized by UNESCO, the 3rd grade of Excellent Diamond Artist. Also in 2018, he received the Hungarian Gold Cross of Merit state award. His favorite subjects are social photography and portraiture.

"The Sibiu International Photography Salon is one of the most important events of its kind in Europe, and I am not exaggerating when I say that it is in the whole world. Every year we are impressed by the large number of entrants to the competition, and their works are very valuable. In 2022, more than 2,000 salons were organized in the world under the patronage of FIAP, of which only five received 5 stars (maximum possible). The Great Sibiu salon is one of these five"
- said the president of the Orizont Fotoklub, Oscar Iustin, at the opening.
Orizont Fotoklub Nagyszeben is 50 years old and has been organizing the International Photography Salon for 24 years. The photography club has 11 active members and it is the only photography club in Sibiu, the majority of its members are photographers who have won prizes in various domestic and international competitions.
This year, photographers from 41 countries sent photos to the Szeben International Photographic Salon, the jury members will not have an easy task and they started work on September 25. This year, you can compete in four categories: color open, monochrome open, tourism and photojournalism.

The ceremonial opening and the presentation of the coins will take place on October 28, 2023, in the Exhibition Hall of the Mayor's Office, Nagypiac Square.
