The autumn edition of JóKor magazine, intended for the elderly, has already been completed, and it contains all the information important for pensioners.

In November, pensioners can receive an average of HUF 80,000 more in pensions, said Finance Minister Mihály Varga in a video posted on Facebook on Sunday.

The minister's announcement was made on the social media page of Zsolt Nyitrai, the prime minister's chief adviser. Mihály Varga reminded that the national government made an alliance with pensioners after 2010.

"We promised to restore respect for older people and preserve the value of pensions. We kept our promise: since 2010, we have doubled the amount of pensions and increased their purchase value by 20 percent," he said.

He added: during the successful years of the Hungarian economy, pension premiums are also paid, and so far this has happened five times in total. He also reminded that the 13th monthly pension taken away by the left was restored.

Mihály Varga stated that the government stands by its word even in today's war, sanctions, and difficult economic situation: in January of this year, it increased pensions by 15 percent, and in November, it will retroactively implement an additional pension increase of 3.5 percentage points. In November, pensioners can thus receive HUF 80,000 more on average.

He announced that another 6 percent increase will come in January, and that the 13th month's benefit will also be paid in February.

He stated that they will continue to stand by their older compatriots, they can count on the government just like before.

In the video, Zsolt Nyitrai drew attention to the autumn issue of the JóKor magazine for pensioners, the creation of which was decided by the Council of the Elderly. From this publication, readers can regularly find out about information of public interest that affects them.

Zsolt Nyitrai highlighted the information about the additional pension to be delivered in November from the latest issue of the magazine, and then added: you can also read about the free Caring Hours program, which is unique in Europe. They can find out who can use the service, how to register and in which cases it can help those concerned.

The paper also shows how they fight against inflation, what can be done if we bought the wrong product in the store, and why it is worth joining a walking club.
