The current suspicion of the mayor of Münkacsi is considered by many to be a major milestone that could bring Subcarpathia's liberation from Hungarian hatred.
The court ordered coercive measures against the mayor of Münkacs, who became infamous for his anti-Hungarian measures: Andrij Baloga can only travel between Munkacs town hall and his home for the next thirty days, after criminal proceedings were initiated against him on suspicion of corruption due to the sale of the old sports complex at a significantly lower price.
Although there are ongoing investigations and proceedings concerning the Baloga clan's involvement in suspected smuggling crimes, the mayor of Münkac may fall into a corrupt land deal. Agents of the Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Office and the Ukrainian Security Service searched several locations on Tuesday morning, and then Andrij Baloga was taken away for questioning.
The three-hectare area of the city-owned Avangard stadium was sold for a tenth of its real value. According to the suspicion, Munkács may have suffered a loss of 100 million hryvnias, i.e. more than one billion forints, due to the transaction. It is interesting that the buyer is the company of Mihajlo Lanyo, the president of the Munkács Járosi Tanács, who has been renting the area for twenty years, and his two colleagues.
The Ukrainian Security Service attacked the Hungarian-hating Münkac city administration
The SZBU conducted house searches at the Munkacs city council in connection with a corruption case worth 2.7 million dollars. They searched the office of mayor Andrij Baloga and the head of the district council, Mihajlo Lanyo, and visited several companies. The subject of the investigation is the underpriced sale of a three-hectare area belonging to the municipality of Munkács, which also includes the city's oldest sports complex.
What happened caused a huge indignation in the city, after it was revealed that the area's previous function would also cease, the buyer wants to build condominiums here together with the investor.
The sale took place in the summer. According to local sources, the farmer could exchange the land for a tenth of its real value. By the way, the company called Universal-M belongs to Mihajlo Lanyo's sphere of interest.
The minutes of the representative body obtained by PestiSrácok.hu also state that a 10 percent advance was also taken, from which the valuation company was paid. It is known that the SZBU visited several of Andrij Baloga's colleagues on Monday, and Tuesday's house searches took place based on what they said.
The mayor wrote on his social media page that the sale was made in accordance with the rules. All documents and documentation were handed over to the authorities.
The ground around the members of the Baloga clan has been getting hotter lately. Due to the smuggling of illegally operating tobacco factories, cigarettes and other goods, there are several criminal proceedings in which members of the clan were involved. Months ago, a contraband worth billions was intercepted at Debrecen airport.
At the beginning of September, the tax inspectors of NAV seized an elf bar worth HUF 700 million in a parking lot near Záhony. The several pallets of elf bars arrived from Germany via a parcel delivery service, and the investigators found them during the transshipment of the shipment in Záhony. According to NAV's announcement, an arrest warrant was issued against the customer of the goods.
Together with the most recent case, the Central Investigation Department of the Directorate General of Criminal Investigations of the National Criminal Investigation Department is investigating a total of four persons - Volodimir Stont, Sándor Balogh, Sergij Csipka and Dimitrij Pisarev, Irenus Dylczyk - who are suspected of being involved in smuggling activities across the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. During the arrest in Debrecen, the former Záhony customs officer, József Sarkadi, who has lived in Debrecen for about 15 years, was detained. József Sarkadi, who is suspected of organizing the distribution of contraband, is currently under arrest. During the search of Sarkadi's home in Debrecen, the NAV investigators found amazing luxury: everything was gilded, even in the bathroom. More than one billion forints in cash in various currencies were seized from the house.
It's an open secret in Transcarpathia that Sarkadi is one of the Baloga clan's enforcers and table runners, who specifically has a business relationship with Pavel Baloga. Pavel Baloga is the younger brother of the member of parliament, Viktor Baloga.
In August, another member of the Baloga clan, Pavlo Baloga, nephew of Viktor Baloga, was involved in a serious common law crime. After a road incident, several people literally beat a Munkac doctor to death; Pavlo Baloga was also a member of the company.
It is known that the Ukrainian authorities have been investigating the clan's affairs for more than a year, and several shipments of serious value were discovered during the investigation. As a result, no member of the family can currently enter the territory of the European Union. In theory…

It is well known throughout Ukraine what the family embedded in politics actually does. For some reason, in the last one to one and a half years, their activities have become so unpleasant that the Ukrainian authorities dare to act more openly against them and their people.
