A Gazan man confirmed to IDF intelligence that Hamas troops are preventing civilians from leaving the combat zone.
The IDF published a conversation between its 504 - HUMINT intelligence unit - and a resident of the Gaza Strip.
In the recording, the man, who is a resident of Jabaliya in the northern Gaza Strip, can be heard telling the IDF officer that Hamas forces are preventing civilians from leaving areas the IDF has announced will be targeted.
According to him, Hamas confiscates the identity card and the sluice key of anyone who tries to leave the target area.

The man from Gaza confirmed the earlier news that Hamas troops are indeed preventing civilians from leaving the target area.
All this after the IDF dropped thousands of leaflets from airplanes over the Gaza Strip, indicating to the population that the IDF is preparing to attack the northern part of Gaza, and is therefore ordering the evacuation of the civilian population in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
