And the Székelykapu. But the Hungarian Treasury has also been expanded with two items.
Based on Tuesday's decision of the Hungarikum Committee, two new items were added to the collection of Hungarian coins and the Hungarian Valuables. Minister of Agriculture István Nagy also reported on the news on his Facebook page.
From now on, the Székelykapu takes its place among Hungarians,
"which is a traditional Transylvanian architectural element that preserves the value of carving art and decorative art. It can be seen at the entrances of houses and at the gates of gardens in the Székelyföld region"
the minister wrote. The other decision raised the flame among the Hungarians.
"Its tradition is closely related to the tradition of baking bread and is considered a real Hungarian specialty"
István Nagy pointed out.

The Hungarian Valuables also added two items: one is the bokortanya, which is "a unique settlement structure in our country that is typical only in the vicinity of Nyíregyháza, which was created by the Slovak-speaking people (as they were called in Nyírség, the tirpáks) who settled in the middle of the 18th century." Another is the linden honey from Zelic.
"Beekeeping and linden honey can be traced back to the 13th century in Zselic, when someone in Hungary talks about linden honey, they are talking about Zselic linden honey"
- emphasized the Minister of Agriculture.
"I believe that Hungarian customs are an identifiable part of the Hungarian cultural heritage, which contribute to the national identity and further understanding of the values characteristic of Hungarians"
- concluded his post.
