With this help, they want to strengthen the churches and Christian communities so that they can raise young people who not only love their country, but can also set an example in their families and communities, so that the churches will still be filled with people a hundred years from now.

When the government supports the renovation and construction of churches or community centers, it does not do so for its own sake, said Miklós Soltész, State Secretary responsible for church and ethnic relations, at the handover of the renewed Nagyboldogasszony Parish Church in Gávavencsellő on Saturday.

The Secretary of State reminded us in his greeting that in October we will look back at several important historical events; on October 6th for the martyrs of Arad, on the 23rd for the 1956 revolution and the death of St. János Kapistrán, and this Saturday for Blessed IV. We remember Károly, who loved his country, respected the Hungarians even in exile and "led his nation fantastically" as king.

Miklós Soltész said that IV. Károly's life is a guide from several points of view, as his deep Catholic faith was decisive during his reign, in his family and also during his exile. The king's patriotism and desire for peace are also to be respected, and it is important that the Hungarians also love their country as IV. Karoly did it.

The Secretary of State stated that betrayal and betrayal are present in world politics, therefore, for the sake of the nation and the country, Hungary must insist on the truth and look for allies in whom it can trust.

Miklós Soltész stated that, in connection with "the horrors currently taking place in the world", Hungary has said what needs to be done, and that the country has more and more allies who recognize all this. He emphasized that "a cease-fire and peace must be concluded as soon as possible in the war".

Vinnai Győző, the region's Fidesz member of parliament, said in his greeting that the church in Gávencellő could be renovated thanks to the cooperation of the diocese, the government, the county and the faithful.

The politician emphasized: Hungarians must fight to preserve their faith, and they are on the right track, since Hungary is not closing, but renovating its churches and strengthening its church communities according to the guidance of the churches.

Oszkár Seszták, the chairman of the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Assembly, said that more than ten churches in the county have already been renovated as part of a Hungarian-Romanian joint program. By renovating the churches, they were able to serve Europe, since its essence is Christian thought, faith and tradition, as well as loyalty to it.

Mayor János Berecz (Fidesz-KDNP) expressed his gratitude to all those who supported the renovation of the church. He said that four of the six churches in Gávavencsellő have already been renovated and they are working on the renovation of the fifth.
