The products do not meet the expectations in the least, and the operators do not apply the hygiene and food industry rules either.
József Septe, the president of the Hungarian Bakers' Association, talked about the fact that the presence of Albanian bakeries in Hungary is unfavorable for Hungarian bakery companies in Spirit FM's Töbler-Kevesbb program.
According to him, one of the main problems is that many products are made from a few types of pasta, which absolutely do not comply with the rules of the Hungarian Food Code.
He adds that these companies circumvent the labor regulations and, with minimal capital investment, use rented premises, rented tools, and rented equipment, which gives them an edge over Hungarian companies.
He also criticized the attitude of Albanian bakeries to hygiene and food industry rules, and the fact that a good number of them "accumulate a lot of debt, leave the company, and then a phantom company immediately starts up in the same building, but neither energy bills nor contribution payments are taken care of".
According to him, this causes great damage to Hungarian bakery businesses.
As Septe knows, the 4-500 Albanian bakeries operating in Hungary have 15-20 owners who operate the entire network.
Hungarian entrepreneurs, on the other hand, have their own shop, where everything is kept clean, and their employees are properly paid and notified.
