In an announcement on the website of the Füred municipality, those spending the long weekend there are warned that compliance with the epidemiological rules will be closely monitored. And the price of breaking the rules can be high:

'...The police are monitoring the frequented parts of the city, especially the beach. Those who do not wear a mask or consume food and drink in public areas may be fined.

...Although some service providers may be open, since food, ice cream, and drinks can only be offered for takeaway, the police draw attention to the fact that wearing a mask is mandatory everywhere in public areas, which also means that the purchased ice cream or food cannot be consumed in public areas , is considered a violation and can be punished with a fine ranging from HUF 5,000 to HUF 150,000.

According to the police, service providers are also regularly checked, elbow pads and benches cannot be placed in front of shops, and customers must be warned that they cannot eat the food they buy in public areas, but only at home or in their cars.

During the long weekend, there will therefore be increased checks in the city, violators will be warned first, but if necessary, fines will also be applied."

Although this warning is addressed directly to those who spend the holiday in Füred, similar checks can be expected in other settlements as well. It is also worth thinking ten times whether 150,000 forints - a cigarette - is worth it. Because, of course, where you can eat and have ice cream, smoking is also prohibited.
