The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade confirmed to Hetek that two Hungarian citizens were indeed taken hostage by the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas. However, they still do not know that there is a Hungarian victim of jihadist terrorist attacks.
The Hungarian-Israeli mother's two daughters were kidnapped by Hamas terrorists from her ex-husband's home on October 7.
"We are in constant contact with the mother, as well as with the special task force established by the Israeli authorities," stated Máté Paczolay, spokesperson for foreign affairs, in connection with the case.
The children are dual Hungarian-Israeli citizens, and the Hungarian Foreign Ministry is doing everything possible to free them, but due to security concerns, they are unable to share more details with the public.
There are still no Hungarian victims of the terrorist attack, added Máté Paczolay.
