You can already vote for this year's candidates for the award, among whom are Cili Nagy, Sándor Weöres Theater in Szombathely, Zoltán Csankó, Győr National Theater, László Fehér, Forte Társulat and Balázs Fila, artist of the József Attila Theater.
Among the four actors, the audience chooses the one who will win the award, which will be presented on December 5 at the Vígszínház, said the Ministry of Culture and Innovation (KIM) and the Petőfi Cultural Agency at the Thursday press conference presenting the awardees.
Magdolna Závogyán, KIM's state secretary responsible for culture, emphasized that this year's candidates for the Attila Kaszás Prize are excellent artistic individuals: they can claim exceptional careers, impressive achievements and successes. Becoming a candidate means recognition in itself, he emphasized.
This year's four candidates were chosen by the members of 41 companies with their votes.

In the past 15 years, the Attila Kaszás Award has gained extremely significant recognition for itself - not only because the award was given to the most outstanding artists every year, but also because the profession and the public jointly choose the awardee every year.
In addition to the recognition of actors acting in the Hungarian language, the award also serves to nurture the intellectual legacy of Attila Kaszás, since the actor, who died young, always played a major role in shaping his troupes into a community.
