After last week's shooting among migrants resulted in three deaths, the Serbian police decided this time to act more seriously against the illegal immigrants flooding the border strip, but the locals do not believe that this time they will be able to eradicate the bad conditions.
The coordinated police action continues in Serbia, near the Hungarian border. They have already rounded up more than a thousand illegal immigrants, who were also found with weapons and ammunition. The raid began after several immigrants died in an armed confrontation in Horgos.
Despite the worsening migration situation, Brussels still supports mandatory distribution and would create migrant ghettos in Hungary.
Police helicopters comb the forests of Horgos on the other side of the Hungarian border several times a day. They also search for migrants from the air. If movement is detected, it will be notified immediately. Soldiers with machine guns arrive on the scene in seconds. All illegal immigrants are rounded up.
Serbian special units have been stationed in the immediate vicinity of the Hungarian border for days. They launched a coordinated operation after migrant and people-trafficking gangs shot at each other again. Officially, three illegal immigrants died in the firefight.
The situation has become unsustainable, human trafficking gangs have taken over - claim the people of Hrogos, who believe that the current raid is not a solution to migration problems.
"It happened countless times, countless times, but there was no result. The taxis came the next day and brought them back in the same amount," said a local.
The collected migrants are taken to the reception center in Szatka, which is full. Immigrants come and go, and taxi drivers have already appeared nearby.
Since migrants are not allowed to stay in the city and other populated areas, the police collect them from there, which is why the reception center in Szatka has an even larger crowd than usual.
Illegal immigrants are pouring into Europe. In addition to the Balkan route, millions have already come across the Mediterranean Sea.
According to Brussels' new migration pact, Hungary should admit illegal immigrants. The European Union would oblige member states to distribute migrants.
Viktor Orbán warned about the dangers associated with migration in his radio interview last week. The prime minister stressed that tens of thousands of illegal immigrants would be resettled in our country.
"We have practical experience, they let in migrants who attack the Hungarian police on the southern border, even shoot them, then do we let them into our own country? These are impossible things, and in Brussels, the country lads like us, who stand on two feet on the ground, still have to fight a lot to understand how life really works," said the Prime Minister.
Viktor Orbán stated: we will not give in to pressure from Brussels. As before, there will be no migrant ghettos in Hungary. The Prime Minister also announced that the government will soon launch another national consultation, one of the topics of which will be immigration.
