Recently, a new fountain "decorated" with statues was handed over in one of Europe's most significant cities, both historically and culturally, in Vienna. What do they say about it?

The city, which has always been particularly important from the perspective of Hungary, is almost a reference point. The city, which, of course, "moaned the war of Mátyás bús" as well.

Where the beautiful St. Stephen's Cathedral also resides. No matter where you shoot it, it's amazing.

But the Hofburg also always stands up for itself. Proud, elegant. Everywhere you turn, Vienna is full of beautiful buildings, statues, parks and squares.

The group of sculptures sitting around the new fountain in Vienna is somehow different. As written on the information board next to it

"the fountain consists of a circle that frames the pool, in the middle of which a jet of water rises up".

In the same place, it can be read that on October 24, 1873, the first spring aqueduct in Vienna was put into use by the residents there. This marked the beginning of the city's modern water supply.

"Since then, mountain spring water has been a symbol of Vienna's liberation from water shortages and the threat of epidemics"

it says on the board.

People sit close together so that their bodies melt into one unit to keep the water in the fountain pool. WirWasser generates togetherness, reminding us that everyone has a responsibility to respect and protect water

– continues the description. It is natural to agree with the appreciation and protection of water.

Appreciating and protecting the beauty of Vienna?

Well, the board doesn't mention that…
