We continue to ask Brussels to investigate the aid paid to the Palestinian authorities and find out whether it could have gone to terrorists, said Gál Kinga, the president of the Fidesz European Parliament group, in a statement published on his Facebook page on Tuesday.

The politician reminded that a month ago, Hamas launched a brutal terrorist attack against Israel, and almost immediately it appeared in the Western press that the terrorist organization had made weapons from sources in Brussels, which could have been used in the cruel wave of assassinations.

In response to the news, Olivér Várhelyi, Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement, and the Fidesz-KDNP almost immediately took the initiative: freeze the funds sent to Palestine and investigate whether the 691 million euros could have gone to terrorist organizations, Kinga Gál recalled the events.

"A month has passed since the attack, and since then we still don't know anything about whether the terrorists could have received funds from the EU" -

emphasized Kinga Gál.

He added: in this case, Brussels should not be secretive, European citizens have the right to know the truth. Possible abuses must be found out, as this is a condition for preventing even one eurocent from falling into the hands of terrorists in the future, said the politician. "Brussels cannot finance terror," stated Kinga Gál.

We continue to ask that they investigate the subsidies paid to the Palestinian authorities and find out whether they could have benefited the terrorists - Kinga Gál concluded his statement.
