József Barta, executive vice president of the Subcarpathian Hungarian Cultural Association (KMKSZ), died tragically suddenly at the age of 66 on Friday.
József Barta, the executive vice president of KMKSZ, died on Friday, November 24. The 65-year-old politician has always bravely stood up for the interests of Transcarpathian Hungarians, Kárpátalja.ma reported .
As it was written, the politician became the first deputy of the president of the Subcarpathian County Council from 2015. His work was recognized by politicians and local residents.
The president of the organization, István Dobsa, also remembered József Barta on his social media page.
His spirituality, knowledge and wisdom are irreplaceable, his absence is a huge void for the family and the entire Transcarpathian Hungarian community.

He added that József Barta was initially active in his native Salánk, and then as a district official in Nagyszőlős in the entire district. Later, he devotedly served the entire region and Transcarpathian Hungarians.
Viktor Mikita, head of the military administration of Transcarpathia, called József Barta a true patriot.
He loved Transcarpathia and Ukraine immeasurably, and worked daily for the development of the Hungarian national community and the strengthening of friendly relations with neighboring countries.
