He was only 13 years old when he instantly became the country's favorite as the child star of Indul a bakterház, and although he did not choose the acting career, his portrayal of Imre Olvasztó is still memorable. The former child actor was born 57 years ago today, but unfortunately he could no longer live up to the big day, he has been gone for ten years. Imre Olvasztó ended his life with his own hands. He lived only 46 years.

Imre Olvasztó, Regős Bendegúza of the now cult film Indul a Bakterház Regős Bendegúza, was born on November 29, 1966, in Gödöllő. He was only 13 years old when he was cast in the Sándor Mihályfy film based on Sándor Rideg's novel, but his quick success was preceded by a bitter childhood.

He was brought up in the Pomáz institution, he did not know his parents, he was barely eight months old when he was sent to the children's home. At the age of three, he was placed in foster care in Szentlőrinkátá.

Indul, who made him famous, was encouraged to play the role of the bakterház by the principal of his elementary school, who also took him to the Pasarét audition, where more than three thousand children auditioned.

13-year-old Imre came to the audition barefoot, where the director asked the teenager to flip him on the bottom to prove his hotness.

and since the boy did not hesitate to do it, he was immediately contracted. In the film, he could act together with actors such as Róbert Koltai, Teri Horváth and Péter Haumann.

"We got on well even after the filming, he played Bendegúz so talentedly that I can only compare him to the main character of Chaplin's film The Kid. Even as adults, we maintained our relationship, he came to see us many times, and he always announced the birth of his children," Róbert Koltai later told Vasárnapi Blikk about him

Although at that time Imre would have much preferred to spend his summer vacation fishing on the river bank rather than shooting a film on the border between Ócsán and Szalkszentmárton, his performance has remained memorable to this day.

For his role, he received HUF 20,000 in the form of a savings account, which he only had access to at the age of 18.

In an interview later, he also said that to his greatest regret, Gassija was worth much less than when he played his role.

Imre thanks Indul a bakterház for getting to know his sister. Her brother saw the film and contacted a crew member.

In the end, the world of acting did not touch him, although after the success of the film he got one or two smaller roles, and as an adult he was employed in the printing industry.

After his unfortunate childhood, Imre Olvasztó always wanted a big family. He had three children from his first wife, but his marriage broke down. A few years later, he married again and had a son from his second marriage.

His relationship with his second wife also ran aground. The former child actor on July 13, 2013

he ended his life with his own hand in the wooded area between Fót and Csomád.

It is known that his son noticed his father's car standing in the bushes from a bus, after which the police found the body of Imre Olvasztó. The former child actor lived only 46 years.
