Zoltán Kovács was forced to restore the American ambassador again.
When it comes to anti-Semitism and anti-Jewish attacks, Ambassador David Pressman should look in his own country, suggested the Secretary of State for International Communication and Relations.
Zoltán Kovács reacted to the fact that the ambassador of the United States in Budapest once again criticized the Hungarian government in his speech at the opening of the 12th Budapest Jewish and Israeli Film Festival. According to David Pressman, the posters depicting Ursula von der Leyen and Alex Soros have anti-Semitic implications.
The diplomat claims that anti-Semitism is encouraged in Hungary today by the Hungarian government, contrary to the principle of zero tolerance.
Mr. "Présember" is on the ghost train of history and this has taken him back to the days of the SZDSZ, because it was fashionable then - the Hungarian politician pointed out in the Bayer show.
Zoltán Kovács, referring to Hamas's attack on Israel on October 7, said: on the most famous campuses in the United States, anti-Semitic shouting does not happen, but Jews are beaten, one person even died from his injuries, and
"after that, anyone from America has the nerve to say that there is a problem with anti-Semitism in Central Europe and within Hungary as well".
The state secretary emphasized that the Jews living in Hungary know exactly what kind of protection they can expect from the Hungarian state since 2010, and this not only holds its own in international comparisons, but is downright exemplary.
