The genetic material of the coronavirus is present in wastewater in high concentration

The genetic material of the coronavirus is present in high concentrations in the wastewater, the National Center for Public Health (NNK) announced on its website. They wrote: in the 43rd week, compared to the growth rate of the past few weeks, the coronavirus concentration in the wastewater shows a slow but still clear increase.

They added: an upward trend was observed in the samples of Békéscsaba, Debrecen, Eger, Miskolc, Szekszárd and Szombathely. A decrease could only be measured in the wastewater sample of Nyíregyháza, the wastewater of the other cities is stagnant, they wrote.

Attention was drawn to the fact that an increasing proportion of the examined Hungarian settlements are characterized by elevated virus concentration, most of the settlements had a moderate concentration, and a low concentration was measured in Nyíregyháza.

The NNK asks that those who have not yet done so take advantage of the free vaccination.
