Hagymatikum in Makó is one of the most beautiful spas in the country, visited by thousands every year, and a good number of guests from neighboring countries also come to the town of Csongrád. Unlike other spas in the countryside, the fabulous complex was further expanded.

The construction of the new department started in the summer of 2021, and the technical handover and acceptance of the new building complex of the spa began at the end of last week.
In the complex dreamed up by Imre Makovecz and the Makona Design Office, a family and experience zone, as well as a special visual experience, the Makovecz sculpture park evoking the world of Atlantis, was created.

A slide tower with three 12-meter-high covered slides was built, as well as a changing room with 400 booths and a sun terrace. They also designed a 220 square meter outdoor pool with a built-in pool bar.
A new walkway and automatic irrigation system were established and trees were also planted. The water base was expanded with a cold and a warm water well. As an additional development, the people of Makó also received an 82-space parking lot on Szent János tér.
The technical handover is expected to be completed at the end of next January, while the fence around Hagymatikum will be ready by the middle of the first month of the year. The renovated facility will open to guests in the spring.
