For professionals abroad, filming is only work, while in the Hungarian crews you can feel that everyone is committed and enthusiastic, and sees filming as a profession.

Csaba Káel talked about this year's Hungarian film successes as a guest of Kontextus on Századvég's YouTube channel. The government commissioner responsible for the development of the motion picture industry and the CEO of Müpa also revealed why so many film productions come to Hungary. He talked about his interview in Variety, which is considered one of the most important American film magazines, which caused a great response, and in addition to all this, he also spoke about the future of Hungarian film production and the overwhelming success of Semmelweis.

Perhaps we are not selling a sack cat if we state that Hollywood productions like to come to Hungary.

In recent months, many stars have visited the streets of Budapest. In October, Angelina Jolie began shooting the film set in France in the 1970s, in which she takes on the role of Maria Callas, the world-famous opera singer. In November, he visited the Opera House to admire Verdi's Requiem, and in December he and his son had lunch at the Southern Railway Station. But not only the actress, but also Johnny Depp appeared on numerous occasions in the capital's iconic locations: in November, for example, he was seen in Károlyi-kert.

However, overseas productions travel to our country not only because of the beautiful locations, but also so that the individual productions are made with the help of the many excellent Hungarian professionals.

Csaba Káel welcomes these efforts, but considers it extremely important for Hungarian stories to be born on the screen in Hungary - it is clear from the interview on the Kontextus channel.

Professional construction has been continuous in Hungary since 1901. Professionals have always passed on knowledge to the next generation. In the past, there were no separate schools for this, but the tricks of the trade could be learned during work at the film factory, noted the government commissioner responsible for the development of the motion picture industry.

Csaba Káel also emphasized that during his travels abroad, it was obvious to him that for professionals abroad, filming is only work, while in the Hungarian crews you can feel that everyone is committed and enthusiastic, and sees filming as a profession.

Host Éva Andor also tried to explain what the appeal of Hungarian landscapes can be, beyond the fact that foreign productions can work with a really capable professional crew here. Csaba Káel came to the conclusion that the stars here can be much more incognito, neither the photographers nor the fans rush them.

The other great attraction of the country and the capital is that public safety is extremely good, so that in addition to ordinary people, celebrities can also walk the streets at night.

In addition to the city's features, Csaba Káel also highlighted that four new studio buildings will be completed in Fót next year, and the existing base will also be renovated. In addition to the promotion of the Semmelweis film in the states, in recent months he has worked hard to recommend this production complex to the attention of the people there.
