László Kéri crushed his remaining authority in ATV. Again.

Political scientist László Kéri was a guest of Egon Rónai in ATV's Egyenes beszéd László Kéri evaluates the year - the conversation was opened with this title. Over the years, the left-wing speaker has deservedly been compared to Tamás Fonák, one of the characters of the popular English cartoon series Jamie and the Miracle Lamp Because the exact opposite of what he had predicted was always realized, which is a nice and funny quality for Tamás Fonák, but quite deplorable for a political scientist.

So the former professional authority of László Kéri is now quite worn out, but it seems that, despite this, people at ATV really like to listen to the jovial professional who is otherwise pleasantly chattering. That happened this time as well. Kéri told the usual left-wing topos, from high inflation to health care problems to the situation of teachers. Of course, the conversation also revealed that, in his opinion, Viktor Orbán presents his own political interests as if they were the interests of Hungary, more and more.

He deliberately did not want to talk about the opposition, saying that the government media scolds them enough, he does not want to say anything bad about them. However, Egon Rónai asked why, after all the bad things that happened this year, according to Kéri, it seems as if there is no need for the opposition.

The expert Kéri immediately responded to this and said the following:

“[…] Why do we think there is no need for them? I see this as a process, it will boil itself out. I think that the part of Hungarian society that does not believe in Fidesz sees only that, yes, there is an opposition, but none of them is so strong that I believe that it is the government alternative. Because there are six, seven or I don't know exactly, and that they are busy with each other, which is the least good news for those who would look up to them. This could be dissected for a long time. […] Viktor Orbán apparently switched to campaign mode from September. His number one thing to say is all about Brussels and the expected changes in Brussels, because he again believes that there will be major changes in the whole of Europe that will change its international position, which is more than deplorable today."

He talks about a necessary process with regard to the opposition, which he thinks will boil over, while practically since 2010 they have been in a continuous descent, they have already tried every possible solution to get into government, each time the end result was ugly from their point of view.

When will this come to an end, Mr. Kéri? Not to mention, what kind of political scientist is he who refuses to deal with the opposition in a meaningful way, but only scolds and scolds the government and the prime minister?

László Kéri continues to crush his own authority with every speech he makes. Sic transit gloria mundi , that is, the glory of the world passes away.
