On Friday evening, five carpenters erected the new cross in Nagykovácsi, on the Nagy-Szénás hilltop.

On August 20, the feast of King St. Stephen, vandals set fire to a cross erected a few years ago in Nagy-Szénás near Nagykovácsi in Pest County. Some of the locals were outraged by what had happened and started a collection to replace the cross as soon as possible, the left barely concealed their joy at the desecration of the Christian symbol.

Tamás Menczer, the parliament representative of the settlement, promised that if it was up to him, a cross would be erected again on Nagy Szénás. The politician believes:

For me, it is unacceptable that a cross is cut up and set on fire.

On Saturday, it was revealed that the cross was erected again in Nagykovácsi, on the Nagy-Szénás hilltop - this is clear from the photo of the Telex reader.

RTL news revealed that five carpenters erected the cross on the Nagy-Szénás hilltop on Friday evening, hired by a contractor for the job. Entrepreneur Zoltán Vitéz told RTL:

he does not go to church, but he considers himself a Christian. According to him, the cross is not only a symbol of Christianity, but also of peace. He did not have permission to erect the cross, he knows that he has committed civil disobedience and accepts the legal consequences. After the cross was built, he reported himself to the police and promised that if anyone removed the cross, it would be rebuilt within 24 hours.
