For the fifth time now, the Élő Forrás Tradition Preservation Association has organized the reggae meeting in Kiscsősz, which has achieved higher and higher standards and attendance over the years.
The communities engaged in traditional farming almost without exception arrived for the gathering on December 30. Two important program elements of the meeting were that each group presented itself in front of an audience and in front of each other in the Kultúrpajta.
The presentations were recorded with a camera, so it will be possible to archive continuously during the meetings, because the organizers believe that a material of scientific value will be compiled over the years.
The participants also traveled to Iszkáz, to the László Nagy Memorial House. On the basis of László Nagy's collection in 1959, it was possible to uncover the archaic versions of the Iskáz regölés. It was a special experience as the older hosts from Iskáz sang the stanzas, and then the whole crowd of reggaetors repeated them. This is how the Iskaz version was written.
After that, the large group of regös went to three more families from Iskáz, where they took turns presenting the regös of the region, to the great delight of the locals.
The following regös took part in the meeting: Utra Mari Társaság, Dozmati Regös, Gencsápát regös, Debrecen regös, Bartók Tancejüttes regös, Doba regös, Iskáz regös, Zalaszántó Three Mountain Association, Székesfehérvár and Kiscsós regös, Kiscsószi Children's Bethlehem Group.
In Kiscsősz, the performance of the Gencsapát Tradition Preservation Ensemble was followed by a field dance, and then the audience could enjoy a Bourdon gala, in which musicians and singers from the region presented their skills.
The anniversary concert of the Naszály Orchestra was a great success, the Kultúrpajta was full of interested people throughout. The next day, traditional pig slaughtering and piglet slaughtering began, and the cooking of the festive menu began under the leadership of István Hahn-Kakas. In the afternoon, the Magyarpalatkai Band and Balázs Horváth and his band also arrived, who delighted the large audience with an early evening concert and a dance hall that lasted until dawn.
On the first of January, the residents of the area could pay attention to the horse-drawn New Year's parade, which has become a tradition. The leaders of Iskáz and Kerta villages were visited separately and greeted with New Year's wishes.
