The government will extend the response deadline for the consultation until January 17, the Government Information Center (KTK) announced on Tuesday. They wrote that a large number of consultation questionnaires are still being returned, the number of participants exceeded 1 million 222 thousand.
The government wants to provide everyone with the opportunity to express their opinion, so the response deadline is being extended by one week

They emphasized that there is still a lot of pressure on Hungary to contribute an even larger amount to the financing of the war. The proposal to this effect will be on the agenda again at the next EU summit, they added.
"In the consultation, Hungarians can express their opinion on this issue as well as on several other issues that fundamentally affect the country's sovereignty, such as the recently adopted new migration package. We always think that if many of us stand up for our position, it will have a lot of weight at the negotiating tables in Brussels."
