The seriously injured patient of the partially collapsed student dormitory of the Tamási Áron High School in Székelyudvarhely in Marosvásárhely has died, the spokesperson of the Maros county clinical emergency hospital told the Agerpres news agency.

Mariana Negoita told the Romanian news agency that the girl - whose condition had been critical since the accident on December 18 - died in the hospital at half past four in the afternoon local time.

The doctors in Marosvásárhely did everything in their power to save him

said the spokesperson.

As already reported by civilek.info , in December in Székelyudvarhely, the building of the Tamási Áron High School student dormitory partially collapsed, burying four students under the rubble. One of them died instantly. The girl was the third person rescued by firefighters. He was unconscious, but the emergency doctors managed to revive him, and due to his critical condition, he was treated in Marosvásárhely.

The University of Óbuda continues to collect donations to help the victims: in addition to the five million forints offered in December, another two million forints have been collected so far to support the victims of the accident, their family members, and the costs of restoring the building.
