Based on the questions of the first round, it turned out that the focus is on modern agriculture, so I delved more into that issue. Basically, I am interested in economics, but I also like agriculture - said the winner of the Great Student Agricultural Test in the Carpathian Basin.

The Carpathian Basin Great Student Agricultural Test competition was organized for the third time, and this time it was won by a young man from Kiskunhalas, Olivér Petrányi. Oliver II. He traveled to the competition from Ferenc Rákóczi Catholic High School and Technical College to compete with students his own age. The young man is basically interested in economics, but he really likes to help his parents grow vegetables and fruits on their farm.

This year, Hungarians from abroad also participated in the competition for the first time.

The second place winner is Anna Regina Kiss, who attends the Jászapát Technical College, Vocational School and College of the Szent József Catholic Electronic Technical College, High School and College.

János Keve Koncz, who is a student at the Árpád High School in Óbuda, won third place

The most active school in completing the test was also awarded this year - in the third Great Student Agricultural Test, the largest number of students from the Árpád High School in Óbuda competed: 603 students completed the test. Their prize is HUF 150,000, which they can spend on a class trip.

The novelty of the current competition was that Hungarians from abroad also took part in the competition. Toth Mathias from Transylvania, who lives in Hármaspatak, was the most successful in the cross-border competition.

The person who decided to compete in the competition organized by the DUE Media Network and launched with the professional support of the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences (MATE) had to have a lot of knowledge. In the online educational game, you had to know the correct answer to questions related to modern agriculture, such as: is it possible to burn in strong sunlight in a foil tent or in a greenhouse, and what is the explanation for the graying of chocolate?

In this competition, Olivér had to show his skills, who marched forward from competition to competition, and finally won! On the last day of the competition, January 4, the youngster from Kiskunhalas was able to appear on the main stage of the Educatio Exhibition to receive his main prize: a trip to Greece for two.

– We had several goals with the Great Student Agricultural Test in the Carpathian Basin. One is to promote agriculture, environmental and food sciences among young people who are about to choose a career. I am proud that the winner of last year and the year before is now an enthusiastic student of our university - said Dr. Csaba Gyuricza, rector of MATE, enthusiastically about the competition.

Young Olivér did not come to the competition without experience, in fact: he loves such competitions so much that he and his classmates and friends have already participated in many competitions. In addition to his experience, he drew on agricultural tricks learned from his parents to win.

- said Oliver.

My parents have a small farm, where we grow all kinds of vegetables and fruits so that we don't have to buy them at the store. I really like pruning trees, I learn the various techniques from my parents. It is a good feeling to harvest and eat the fruit we have produced ourselves

the young boy revealed.
