The Hungarian culture day is celebrated in the cities of Transylvania and Partium with gala evenings, theater performances, literary programs, exhibition openings and awards to significant figures in the field of culture.

On the occasion, the Transylvanian Hungarian Contemporary Culture Awards will be presented in Cluj-Napoca Starting at 6 p.m. in the Kassino on the promenade, three prominent Transylvanian Hungarian artists will be awarded by Kelemen Hunor, the president of the Romanian Hungarian Democratic Association (RMDSZ), and then Béla Bartók's 44 violin duo will be performed by Albert Márkos and Bálint Gyula Szép.

On Sunday, the Consulate General of Hungary in Cluj, the National Talent Center and the parish organize a concert in St. Michael's Church. Two scholarship winners of the Talentum Hungarikum Program, singer Bettina Szanyi and flutist Juli Deák, will mix different genres of Hungarian folk music.

Organized by the League of Transylvanian Hungarian Writers, László L. Simon's book of essays entitled The Culture of Preservation will be presented at the Bulgakov café from 6 p.m. on Monday.

in Nagyvárád on Monday from 7 p.m., where the Lifetime Achievement Award for Hungarian Culture, prizes and commemorative plaques will be presented. The award ceremony will be followed by the performance of the Debrecen Hajdú Dance Ensemble entitled A sár és a pálinka földjén. The week of Hungarian culture takes place all week in the Bihar county seat and Margitta through the cooperation of the Bihar county organization of RMDSZ and the municipalities of Debrecen and Berettyóújfalu.

On Saturday, the local branch of the House of Transylvanian Traditions will hold a full-day program at the Partium Christian University in Nagyvárad. Gyula Ádám's ArcPoétika exhibition will be opened from 3 p.m., followed by a folk art quiz and a costume exhibition by Zsolt Popa. From 7 p.m., the Soroglya and Járom bands will give a concert, and the day will end with a dance hall.

In Szatmárnémeti, the Hungarian State People's Ensemble will perform on Saturday from 7 p.m. with a dance performance entitled "City Wanderers" in the Northern Theater. The performance will be shown in Nagykároly, in the city theater, on Sunday from 6 p.m. On Monday at noon, a memorial service will be held at the statue of Ferenc Kölcsey erected last year.

In Marosvásárhely, there will be a gala program entitled (H)őseiim on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. in the Cultural Palace, organized by the Consulate General of Hungary in Csíkszereda and the Maros county government. Opera singer Mihály Kálmándy, opera singer Renáta Gebe-Fügi and singer Tibor Nemes will perform, the Marosvásárhely State Philharmonic Orchestra and the Maros Art Ensemble will perform.

In Csíksereda, on Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m., Hargita Székely Népi Nemzeti Együttes Kútjaink can be seen in the cultural center. On Monday, a memorial evening will be organized in the János Kájoni County Library in honor of the writer, editor, poet and translator Gábor Cseke, who died last year.

In Székelyudvarhely, a gala evening will be held on Sunday from 6 p.m. in the great hall of the cultural center, where awards for the Culture of Udvarhelyszék will be presented. The Szentegyháza Children's Philharmonic will perform.

in Sepsiszentgyörgy , the exhibition "The World of Miklós Bánffy and Károly Kós" will open on Monday at 6 p.m., and then the award for the culture of Háromszék will be presented.

In Timișoara, the Osonó Színházműhely of Sepsiszentgyörgy will play a guest role on the day of Hungarian culture: from 7 p.m., the monodrama Nem vágyom, csá autőrs latnak, based on the texts of Attila József, will be performed in the theater.
