"Dear Compatriot! What we all wanted to avoid followed: a war in our neighborhood. We will do everything to prevent our country from drifting into an armed conflict, because even now the safety of the Hungarian people comes first. We work for peace and in the process lend a helping hand to those in trouble. Because of the Russian-Ukrainian war, hundreds of thousands fled their homes: Transcarpathian Hungarians and Ukrainians, Viktor Orbán wrote in the letter. The Prime Minister noted that we can be proud of the fact that an exemplary alliance was created in our country to help them. He added that we can once again prove that this is a good country inhabited by good people.

"We launched a separate aid campaign to help those who remained in Ukraine and those who need asylum in our country. You can also take part in the aid program for the Bridge to Subcarpathia. The 1357 national helpline was launched, and an account number was also opened for collecting donations. Please support the collaboration as much as you can! Let's preserve the peace of our country and lend a helping hand to those who need it the most right now!" - concluded the prime minister of Hungary.
