Even a blockade of the Ukrainian border is not unthinkable, according to the organizers of the protest

Two weeks after the PiS rally in Warsaw, Polish farmers will also take to the streets to protest against the policies of the Tusk government that serve Ukraine and the United States. Polish farmers fear that imports of Ukrainian agricultural products will destroy domestic agriculture, which has already been severely affected by the energy crisis that followed the war.

The demonstrators are also protesting against the Tusk government's political rampage and for the release of political prisoners.

We have already seen that farmers are dissatisfied in Germany and Romania, and this week they are also taking to the streets in Poland, according to the plans, thousands of tractors will cover the streets of Warsaw on January 24.

Social tension is growing in Poland after the Tusk government, which came to power in the fall, started running amok. Donald Tusk and his gang perfectly demonstrate how the liberals imagine the rule of law: they invaded the editorial office of the public media with thugs, they arrested the PiS politician stuck in the opposition in the presidential palace (!), and this is just the beginning.

The news broke last week that Poland is withdrawing from the regional agreement, the essence of which is that the states neighboring Ukraine take joint action to prevent the import of Ukrainian grain. However, Ukrainian dumped prices cause serious difficulties for European and Polish farmers, who are unable to compete with low-priced, often genetically modified products.

Romania introduced an export-import licensing system last fall in the Ukrainian grain dispute, in which importers must prove that domestic needs cannot be met and therefore must be licensed to import Ukrainian grain, but intermediaries cannot be licensed. Poland would follow this pattern now, the timing of which was particularly interesting because Donald Tusk was preparing for Kiev. In addition, the announcement was made a day after István Nagy announced that the agriculture ministers of the five regional countries, including Poland, urged the European Commission in a joint letter to take decisive action against Ukrainian grain, because it causes serious damage to the farmers of the regional countries, they lose markets for in our main export markets

After the Commission refused to extend import restrictions on Ukrainian grain products last September, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland unilaterally introduced such restrictions on domestic imports.

However, the Tusk government practically walked out of the agreement the next day.

Ukrainian grain is not only a financial threat to European farmers - and a huge profit to American companies - but various genetically modified products also pose a significant health risk. So it seems that the Tusk government is sacrificing Polish agriculture and the EU market on the altar of American corporate profits. It is not surprising that in less than two weeks, the second massive demonstration is being organized in Warsaw.

We are fighting to ensure that family farms can function at all. We cannot compete with Ukraine, so we expect, among other things, the introduction of pre-war quotas. Ukrainian grain should go where it belongs - to the Asian or African market, not to Europe, one of the organizers told an agricultural newspaper.

The farmers' association called on the EU to limit the import of agricultural products from Ukraine, as this has a very bad effect on EU agriculture.

It puts the farmers and their families in a difficult situation. It is recommended to limit the control of Ukrainian exports by land and river routes through the European Union to third countries.

The demonstration will take place on Wednesday, January 24. Polish farmers promise to put thousands of tractors on the roads, even a blockade of the Ukrainian border is not unthinkable.
