The football legend from Tatabánya, József Kiprich, who has not been forgotten in Rotterdam even after several decades, is still surrounded by huge fandom among the fans of the Dutch league Feyenoord. Not so much that now, before the championship game against Twente, he was welcomed by a huge crowd, and in the stands of one of the training grounds, the following was written on a giant molino: "Wizard from Tatabánya, hero of the south!"

József Kiprich turned 60 in September 2023, and a few days ago we reported that the icon from Tatabánya is going through a difficult period, a few months ago he had such an unfortunate fall that he suffered femoral neck and elbow injuries, and he still needs a cane in everyday life, but he could no longer use the wheelchair.

"Kipu" is a huge legend in Rotterdam, the Hungarian striker, who scored 53 goals in 128 league matches at Feyenoord between 1989 and 1995, was visited by many Dutch people at his home in Tatabánya, the last time a family came to him in August.

In the moments before the start of the match, the fans in the stadium in Rotterdam chanted Kiprich's name.

"My family and I arrived in the Netherlands on Saturday, we rested, and then we took part in the programs on Sunday József Kiprich , the 70-time Hungarian national team striker, told Nemzeti Sport after the match . - We had a joint lunch with the club managers and old friends, we had a good talk and nostalgia, relived old stories and memorable matches. As for the celebration before the Feyenoord-Twente match - I can't find words for it... The atmosphere was amazing, fifty thousand fans shouted my name, the good old days came alive. It's true, these memories are still present in everyday life, because you can't forget the wonderful six years I spent at Feyenoord. The fans stretched a lot of jerseys, I received many, many messages, the fans are fantastic. I also thank them on this way."
