This is all a nasty, disgusting lie, which has to do with one thing: that Hungary is the only one in the EU that refuses to behave like a colony.
Do you remember the days when EU debates were still about what was right? Is Greece better off outside or inside the euro? Is building a fence on the EU border compatible with the Kantian categorical imperative? Should there be a joint loan or not?
Well, those times came to an end on January 28, 2024. There is no more apparent dispute.
The creators of the big ideas in Brussels do not even claim that their ideas stand the test of elementary formal logic. They have one argument: either you vote, or we shoot you in the head.
With the public blackmailing of Hungary - as a reminder: the collapse of the forint, the shaking of the confidence of foreign investors and the withdrawal of all EU funds were put into perspective if we do not give our blessing to the fifty billion euro Ukrainian aid - the debate about who is blackmailing whom here has been settled.
The debate as to whether Hungary's abdication has anything to do with the rule of law, corruption, the Kúria's case distribution system or the specifics of the biography of the Vice President of the Integrity Authority has been settled. Is not.
It's all a nasty, disgusting lie that has to do with only one thing:
to the fact that Hungary is the only one in the European Union that refuses to behave like a colony, and reserves the right to use the so-called apply logic, use brain cells, perceive joint decision-making as an intellectual process requiring arguments. Everyone who assisted in the farce should be ashamed of themselves, who was really able to take seriously the content of Brussels' demands regarding Hungarian rule of law problems, to accuse the Budapest government of blackmail, and to write, speak and vote under this false impression.
Net, not at all romantic, power politics based on other people's foreign affairs interests - this is the European reality.
It doesn't matter that every baby sees that the European Union's strategy in Ukraine is, if you can put it that way, a double heap of ruins. On the one hand, because it belongs to the United States - listen to this excellent debate . Joe Biden is making the classic mistake of American foreign policy by not giving a clear, believable end point to the war in Ukraine, and by following an unrealistic goal from the beginning, he is allowing an endless, pointless war to prevail in Ukraine, similar to Iraq and Afghanistan, from which the US's goal will be lost. without reaching maturity, having invested enormous resources, essentially leaves as a loser.
That is why the American strategy is in ruins.
The European is doubly so, because instead of creating its own strategy and goals, it wants to fail itself with the doomed American strategy.
The fifty billion euro support package is a bad tool for a failed strategy. It starts from the fact that there will be war in Ukraine for at least four more years, and there can be nothing but war; and to finance this, the European Union must become a debt community. Fifty billion euros - this is almost double the amount of cohesion funds and recovery funds due to Hungary between 2021-2027. This is as if someone had included the entire Western Balkans in the cohesion program of the European Union with a powerful word. An unspeakably bad decision and a terrible burden - for nothing.
That's why you can't agree on it like a gentleman. The gangster pace, the diplomatic sophistication of Nigerian Islamist militias remains. Hungary received a corresponding offer last night, but make no mistake -
something like this may have convinced Charles Michel, who suddenly gave up his dreams as an EP representative, that he would rather not earn fifteen thousand euros a month between 2024-2029 in a pleasantly heated room in Brussels and in a somewhat colder Strasbourg room.
The protein in their teeth was shown to them, as well as to us. Very white. And now we have just as much room for maneuver as we have strength.
Before someone twirls their chubby mustache and screams Huxite, I have to inform you of a little thing: the conspirators in Brussels were smart, and no more spacious than the outside. The collapse of the forint, the shaking of the confidence of foreign investors and the withdrawal of all EU money are the same as the consequences of a possible Huxit. There is no escape here, let's just look at the Balkans: the Serbian dinar and the Albanian lek are kept alive by the euros sent home by millions of Balkans working abroad, while Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Kosovo live in a wild marriage with the euro. The message of the West is clear: whoever wants to enjoy the advantages of the West, economic stability, a favorable investment environment and a stable currency,
it must also present a good image for the inevitable blunders of the West. Or get shot in the head. No debate.
The West sent this message to our little country yesterday.
We must find what we have always found: the outer limit of mutual tolerance. The section where Hungary's policy is still acceptable to both its own citizens and its Western allies. Viktor Orbán, whose responsibility it is to represent the interests of Hungarians, will find the right answer. But for those who play politics on the side of the blackmailers, this could also be a caesura. They could finally take examples from their favorite Romanians, Poles, Czechs and Slovaks, and the law of the little wolf could become a lived reality in their souls: those who sell it abroad throw their country to the big dogs. Stand by our country. Now is the time for that.
