Péter Geszti's mother, Márta Imre, died at the age of 90. She was known throughout the country as Aunt Márta because of her radio background.

On Friday evening, Péter Geszti announced on his social media that he had lost his mother. Mártá Imre, who regularly appeared as Aunt Márta on the morning show of Gábor Bochkor and Lajos Boros for twenty years, was known not only to radio listeners, but to the whole country - and everyone loved her outspoken style.

"It is with a sad heart that I write that my mother, who was called Márti, Mártuska, Márta, Mama, Aunt Márta, unexpectedly ended her career on earth. He had a difficult and struggling life, but his great gift and sense of humor did not let him down at the end of the road, and his passion for life did not die down even when he could no longer live life to the fullest. He was helped by the knowledge that not only his family loved him, but tens of thousands locked him in their hearts from afar, invisibly"

- wrote Péter Geszti in his post, adding:

I know we will not die as long as we are remembered and known by name. I am sure that Mama will live in the memories of many of us for many decades to come.

Aunt Márta celebrated her 90th birthday last November.

Shortly before that, in September, Blikk conducted an interview with Péter Geszti, who told the newspaper that his mother is doing well, that her days are spent quietly and in a good mood. Although he is starting to be a bit forgetful and his old memories remain for him more and more, at the same time he feels that his love for him has grown even more. He also added:

for the fifteenth year, he can hardly leave the apartment, he has difficulty moving even with a walker, but his positive energy has remained, he almost never complains.

Péter Geszti tried to be present in his mother's life, he visited her several times a week, and they talked practically every day.
