On January 13, Chilean-American citizen, journalist, blogger Gonzalo Lira died in a Ukrainian prison due to lack of medical care. Not a single independent and objective Hungarian media wrote about this.
Gonzalo Lira was accused of spreading Russian propaganda, even though he was NOT repeating the Ukrainian narrative. He criticized Zelensky's regime and the West's attitude towards Russia.
But the Biden administration did not raise its little finger for its own citizen, it did not even protest about the lack of medical care.
But Navalny is completely different!
At a press conference on Friday, Joe Biden stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin and his associates were responsible for the circumstances leading to Navalny's death. Although the US president admitted that the exact circumstances of Navalny's death are uncertain, the Kremlin's role in what happened is indisputable. He emphasized that the United States must therefore strongly support its allies, including Ukraine.
He said he warned Putin in 2021 that there would be significant consequences if Navalny died in prison when the pair met at a summit in Geneva.
