The civil government does not take culture in a narrow sense, so it does not mean only works of art, paintings or musical performances, because culture itself is our way of life, our way of thinking, said the minister responsible for culture and innovation in Kossuth Rádió's Sunday newspaper program.

In an interview on the Hungarian Culture Day, János Csák emphasized that there are many changes in the world, "we need to see clearly what we want to preserve and what we need to adapt to the changes".

He added: it is necessary to innovate culture, which requires a culture of innovation.

In response to a question, he stated that it is also the job of the culture minister of a nation state to maintain the competition of ideas.

He pointed out that in Brussels, in the name of political correctness, certain topics and ideas "simply want to be taken off the table", the word "family or nation" rarely appears, instead there is a "leachated perception that (...) we are abandoning our traditions". .

However, we Hungarians are not like that, he said, adding: no matter how stormy our history has been in the past 1,100 years, the triangle of God, family, home meant survival for us. Because without families there is no nation, and without nation there are no families.

The minister pointed out that the essence of Hungarian culture is to accept that "man is not the final judge, there is a greater force than us".

That is why the government is doing everything it can to strengthen families and to create bonds within the family, because those who can bond can also bond to larger entities, such as the nation. A nation is needed because we can ensure the peace and security of our country with joint strength.
