According to Balázs Hidvéghi, nothing will change with the election of Marc Angel, the new vice-president of the European Parliament, it is the same "corrupt and politically manipulated" world in Brussels. The representative of Fidesz in the European Parliament (EP) said in Kossuth radio's Sunday newspaper program: Marc Angel, the new vice-president of the European Parliament, fits perfectly into the well-known, dominant and fashionable world and trend in Brussels. According to his claim, this can be partly seen, for example, in his LGBTQ activism and the fact that he has been a part of all the fraudulent attacks by socialists that have been directed against national sovereignist, Christian-democratic governments and countries in the past period.

"He was elected vice-president in the place that became vacant when the former socialist vice-president Eva Kaili went behind bars," said the representative.

He noted: the position of vice president would have gone to the right-wing conservative faction Identity and Democracy even in 2019, when vice presidents were elected for the first time. They are excluded from practically everything: from the possibility of holding positions, they are not even voted for their seats in committees, going against the people's decision, since this would be a distribution based on the parliamentary proportions.

He added that they also supported the candidate of the Identity and Democracy faction, the Italian representative Annalisa Tardino, but "this center-left alliance has closed again", which - according to his words - unfortunately the European People's Party is also a part of, this is the only way it can work based on the numbers. Nothing changes, it is the same well-known, "corrupt and politically manipulated" world of Brussels, he declared.

Balázs Hidvéghi spoke about how an official European Parliament program was organized in the European Parliament under the leadership of Eva Kaili, the topic of which was software using the data of European people, which would aim to filter out child abuse and child pornography based on certain keywords or data. The involvement of an American company was discussed, which would also mean that the data of tens of millions of European people would be owned and managed by an American company, the politician pointed out.

According to him, this is a textbook example of corruption: a foreign actor, in this case a large corporation, buys political influence for a lot of money through elected politicians who are willing to do so. According to the representative, an extensive corruption network is "unraveling before our eyes". He indicated: he trusts that the Belgian prosecutor's office will successfully continue the investigation of this case.

Balázs Hidvéghi called the proposal, which includes how the functioning of the European Parliament would be cleansed of foreign influence and corruption, "get it right." According to his words, in the Brussels corruption case, the institutional system is corrupt, can be bought, and can be manipulated, and this also affects the European Parliament, the European Commission, and other actors. This can be seen for years from the way they manipulatively attack certain leaders, countries, and parties who refuse to join the world of Brussels and accept everything without criticism.

Balázs Hidvéghi also spoke about the fact that the Hungarian asset declaration system has been attacked for years because it is not strict enough. And when they adopted the European Parliament model in Hungary, they were asked to "go back to the old way", and that happened, he recalled. He added: if this is the case, we "kindly recommend" to the members of the European Parliament that they, the entire institution, should switch to the Hungarian system, which requires a stricter, more consistent, more in-depth declaration obligation.

In the interview, Balázs Hidvéghi used Spain as an example, where there is a socialist government and "very serious" constitutional and rule of law problems affecting the judiciary arise. Despite this, they do not want to withhold EU funds from them. According to the politician, this case is a "school example of double standards". He noted that the same rules should apply to everyone, even to the socialist Spanish government.
