The school year is over, the matriculation exams are over, and the summer vacation is in full swing. This year, 108,480 people graduated, including those who were allowed by the Government after the written exams to make up the exams missed for justifiable reasons orally.

The proportion of those who fail the exam is only 1.7%, and the participation rate of 98.3% corresponds to the average over many years. This year, the proportion of those taking advanced level exams increased further, by 52% compared to 2019, so that in addition to the 320,368 intermediate level exams passed, 65,524 advanced level exams were taken by high school graduates.

Despite the much higher proportion of high school graduates, the average of all graduation results based on grades is 3.65, which exactly corresponds to the average of the previous 5 years and is better than last year's average of 3.61. If we examine the % result, the average is 60%, which just corresponds to the average of the 5 years between 2015 and 2019.

The rate of insufficient and unsuccessful exams is only 1.26%, which also corresponds to the average of the 5 exam years before the epidemic. The success of the academic year is also confirmed by the fact that only 2.6% of students had to repeat a year in the academic year, which is 7% lower than the 2.8% measured in 2019, the last year before the epidemic.

Between June 16 and June 29, the schools organized childcare for grades 1-8. In the beginning, parents applied for child care for more than 17,000, then 15,000, and in the last two days an average of 8,000 students per day.

The Ministry of Human Resources thanks all those working in public education for their work throughout the year, and wishes them a good rest and refreshment for the summer holidays!
