The wells can be easily seen when the lake's water level drops, and they testify that animals once grazed there.
In Lake Tisza, you can find wells in several places in the bed: these are interesting for tourists, while they can often be a nightmare for those traveling by boat. The wells are still living evidence that animals once grazed there, wrote I love Tisza-tó .
Lake Tisza was fifty years old in 2023, but the works before its creation began already in the 1960s, i.e. the deeper trees in the designated bed had to be cut down, and the dams had to be strengthened.
Life before Lake Tisza was similar to what it is now in the Great Plain: its territory was mainly made up of fields, pastures and forests, which were sometimes washed away by the Tisza, and many times marshy, marshy and swampy areas remained.
The trees were not completely cut down everywhere, and even the wells of the former pastures remained in the water-covered area. Thanks to this, the wells can still be found in the middle of Lake Tisza. The nature conservation officer of the Hortobágy National Park has already drawn attention to the well, which is located in the Tiszaderz part of the Sarudi basin, and presumably several boats have "grinded" its top, since when the water level rises, it cannot be seen.
There is another well in Lake Tisza
On the other hand, at Lake Tisza, a similar well can be found not only here, but also in the Tiszavalki basin, on the Dühös-lapos, precisely there a boom well rises towards the sky. This area was once a pasture and has been here for 50 years - since the area was flooded with water. There is also a fountain in the well, which you can easily see when the water level drops.
