The problem with the Hungarian opposition, among many other things, is that it usually asks the wrong question to the wrong person.
The opposition did not lie to itself, after Orbán's annual review yesterday, it was once again proven that they are unable to jump over their own shadow.
After the speech, all the "sharp-minded" politicians of our opposition came to the conclusion that the Prime Minister talked about everything but the essence. And what do they think the point would be? To profit politically from child victims!
DK's Csaba Molnár writes that
"Viktor Orbán talked about everything today, but not the main thing: why did a criminal helping a pedophile get a presidential pardon?"
Well, the problem with the question is not only that it was not asked to the right person - or did Orbán grant a pardon? – but also that it covers up the essential question: why did the pedophile educator involved in the same case only receive a suspended prison sentence?
Anna Donáth also refers to this line when she writes:
"In 2016, the pedophile rapist got away with corrupting countless children and driving one of them to suicide with only 8 years in prison. Another pedophile teacher was sentenced to a suspended prison sentence after abusing the children entrusted to him. How could this happen? When will there be an independent investigation into this matter?"
In his case, the question is a good one, but the prime minister is also not called to be elected.
Let them turn to the INDEPENDENT, BRAIN-SENSITIZED judges, to be precise Mr. András Élő, who did not sentence the pedophile kindergarten teacher - according to András Gál, the legal representative of the victims, this was the biggest failure of his life -, otherwise he acquitted the butcher from Darnózsel, who casually dismembered him, in the first instance. then he ground up his wife and finally scattered her in the field.
It seems that the parties leading the opposition, despite the fact that they did not vote for the child protection law, pushed their pictures to the flu demonstration without an invitation, they don't even read their own media.
Direkt 36 investigated what the government knew about the amnesty case when it broke out. In one word: nothing.
Let's see what the press, which defines itself as independent and objective, wrote about whether the government knew what and why the Sándor Palace did!
Sources close to the government familiar with the incident claimed in unison that, as far as they know, Orbán and his entourage were caught unawares by the case.
"It took the government completely by surprise, they were unprepared. Neither the president nor Judit Varga informed the Orbáns about the pardon case when the decision was made [last April]"
- said a source who has spoken with several high-ranking government officials in recent weeks.
Another source, who spoke to several people from Orbán's entourage in recent days, had similar information.
"The initial reaction, the confusion at the beginning proves that there was no knowledge of it at the highest level," explained the source.
"Since Friday, this case has also been on the radar at Karmelita," said a source close to the government, who said that part of the reason was that they immediately asked for an explanation from the Sándor Palace. The office of the head of state said that it was Zoltán Balog, a Reformed bishop who previously served as a minister, and who had a long-standing close relationship with the Novas, who lobbied for the pardon.
Although Novák's office referred to such an old confidant, this was not enough for the prime minister and his staff. "Orbán did not accept the reference to Balog," said a source close to the government, according to whom the prime minister approached
"Novák is the president of the republic, he decides, it is his responsibility".
So, dear opposition, no one is hiding behind other people's skirts here, that is not customary on the national side.
A mistake was made, and the mistake was corrected with honor and responsibility - you could learn from it!
