The governing parties will hold their faction meeting before the spring session of the parliament in Balatonalmádi on Wednesday and Thursday, at which they will also decide on the candidate for the new head of state, Fidesz faction leader Máté Kocsis said on his social media page on Monday.
The leader of the representative group of the larger governing party wrote on Facebook: the meeting will begin on Wednesday evening with the Prime Minister's speech, followed by the hearing of ministers, MEPs, and state secretaries on Thursday.
According to Máté Kocsis's entry, the main agenda items of the meeting include the group decision on the person of the new head of state candidate, the preparation for the European Parliament and local government elections, and the new package of child protection laws.
