HUF 226.93 million was spent on election rallies and campaign events.
Magyar Nemzet writes about that
the grants from abroad were "a gold mine for the DatAdat group of companies marked by the name Gordon Bajnai,
which was responsible for the digital part of the opposition campaign”. They add: 860 million forints were spent on text messages, database construction and online ads alone, and the ÁSZ makes it dependent on the results of the ongoing NAV investigation as to what steps this may entail.
The facts: the Everyone's Hungary Movement spent HUF 226.93 million on election meetings and campaign events, HUF 860.53 million on text messages, database construction, online advertising, HUF 288.98 million on posters, leaflets, and other campaign materials, and publications HUF 35.82 million forints, most of the money migrated from MMM to the DatAdat group of companies. The paper emphasizes:
the transactions are currently being investigated by the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV), so the ÁSZ can only make findings about tricks when the tax authority's investigation is completed.
The Magyar Nemzet reminds us that about four billion HUF dollars migrated to the left through the "civil organization" Action for Democracy (A4D) registered in the United States and a Swiss foundation during the campaign for the 2022 parliamentary elections. A4D is headed by Dávid Korányi, former chief adviser to Gergely Karácsony and former state secretary Gordon Bajnai.
A significant part of the money, HUF 1.8 billion, went to Márki-Zay's MMM, which forwarded a significant part of the money to the DatAdat group by ordering various services.
It was only revealed much later, they add, that the largest part of the money transferred to Hungary by Action for Democracy was a donation from György Soros.
The State Audit Office fined the left-wing parties 261 million forints in its partial report published on Tuesday morning. The political formations must each pay at least 43.5 million forints, to which a penalty of 43.5 million forints can be added - which can be deducted from the state support, we learn.
