Soros' organizations held a big gala dinner in Munich, several politicians showed up with the Soros heir.

Alex Soros, the son of György Soros, the new leader of the Soros organizations, took part in the joint dinner of the Open Society Foundation and the European Council on International Relations (ECFR - Soros's EU think tank) based on his photos posted on social media on February 19. In the framework of the Security Policy Conference.

The dinner was opened by Ursula von der Leyen's speech, and was attended by, among others, former Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and American Democratic Senator Chris Coons. Von der Leyen was seated right next to Alex Soros.

"It is an honor to host this year's joint dinner of the Open Society Foundations, ECFR and the Munich Security Policy Conference. Ursula von der Leyen gave a great opening speech. We thank the EU leaders, senators and US administration staff for joining us," wrote Alex Soros in the post.

Known: ECFR was founded in 2007 by the author of Project Syndicate, maintained by the György Soros Open Society Foundation, Mark Leonard.

The Berlin-based organization, which has offices in six other European capitals (London, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Sofia, Warsaw), has been co-financed by the Open Society Foundation since the beginning.

The Council of the ECFR has nine Hungarian members: George and Alexander Soros are among the Hungarian members, but former Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai sits there, sociologist Tibor Dessewffy, who is part of the ownership group of DatAdat, which is linked to Bajnai, Klára Dobrev, EP representative from the South, Péter Kalotai, the deputy director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Dávid Korányi, the president of Action for Democracy and Gergely Karácsony's chief adviser on city diplomacy, CEU lecturer Tamás Meszerics, former MEP representative of the LMP, and Anita Orbán, head of foreign relations at Vodafone Hungary.
