The Győr organization of Fidesz decided to run the current mayor, András Csaba Dézsi.

“100 yes; With 1 no and 1 abstention, the membership of the Fidesz Győr Organization voted for me to continue my work as mayor, which I started in 2020, from 2024! Thank you for your trust."
In addition to the mayoral candidate, they also decided who would run in the colors of Fidesz-KDNP in the individual constituencies.
There are more and more announcements in Győr: the former mayor, Zsolt Borkai, would return to the head of the city, and a journalist, Bence Pintér, would also enter the ring. It is not yet clear who the opposition's joint candidate will be - if there will be one at all.
