The water level of the Tisza cannot affect its passage either.
A canopy house and promenade were also built in Nagykörű, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county. The promenade that meets all needs leads from the Tisza dam to the building 300 meters away in the floodplain forest.
The building was built at a height of eight meters, so its opening hours are not affected by the fluctuating water level of the Tisza river.
In the Lombkoronaház building, a multifunctional event space and a restaurant with a hot kitchen have been created, which includes both a covered and an open terrace. Handicraft products will be sold in the landscape shop next to the restaurant and there will also be a play area for children.
The facility is not open yet, we would like to hold the grand opening at the end of April, beginning of May. We plan to start operations only during the beach season
said Mayor Tibor Túri.
The investment was realized with more than HUF 646 million, and the Hungarian government and the European Union provided almost HUF 507 million in non-refundable support to finance the project.
