The left defends the amazing splurge of money with which the capital's leadership piled on Budapest's business leaders.
The salary of the first person of the BKV increased to 2.6 million forints, while the salary of the head of the BGYH increased to 2.2 million forints. According to the capital's left-liberal politician, there is nothing wrong with this, while the leader of the Fidesz-KDNP faction is of the opinion that Karácsony uses doublespeak.
"The wage increase follows inflation, we are taking care of the members of the Budapest family," explained Anett Bősz, Deputy Mayor of DK, that the salary of the BKV leader increased by HUF 300,000.
According to Socialist Deputy Mayor Kata Tüttő, the increase fits into the budget, since BKV is the country's largest transport company, and the Capital City Municipality has developed a remuneration regulation that ties the salary of the BKV CEO to the payment of the state care system.
According to Deputy Mayor Ambrus Kiss, the wage increase was also justified.
And Péter Gajda, the socialist mayor of Kispest, spoke about the fact that a responsible leader must be provided with a decent salary,
then expressed his regret that this is not the case with the mayors. And Péter Niedermüller, the SE mayor of Erzsébetváros, said that if Gergely Karácsony considers that it fits into the budget, then it will definitely fit.
"Gergely Kárácsony constantly talks about bloodletting, but his own people always get money" - and this was already said by the leader of the Fidesz-KDNP faction in Budapest.
According to the politician, the mayor is using double talk, and he even reminded that serious concerns had already been raised about the BKV leader's bonus. According to his view, Tibor Bolla received a salary increase and a bonus while there were a series of irregularities at the company.
