The Lenten non-perishable food collection of Katolicus Karitász in Catholic churches starts on Sunday and lasts until next Sunday.

According to the announcement of Katolikus Karitász, you can participate in the collection by offering any non-perishable food, flour, sugar, rice, pasta, oil, canned food, ready-made food, non-perishable milk, biscuits, sweets, jam, coffee, tea. They added: even 1 kilogram of food can help.

The aid organization also accepts monetary donations, by calling the donation line 1356, you can support the work of the organization with HUF 500 per call, or by donating any amount online on the Katolikus Karitász website.

They touched on the fact that the charity volunteers put together packages from the collected donations, which they deliver to people in need before Easter. Packages prepared for families with small children are supplemented with sweets and small gifts, they wrote.
