The Hungarian Pilgrimage Route works similarly to the El Camino system, on which anyone can walk at any time, for any length of time, and awaits pilgrims from spring to autumn.

Katalin Kardosné Gyurkó, president of the National Association of Large Families, handed over the baton to the actor Sándor Sasvári at the ceremony of the Hungarian Pilgrimage Route Association, which was attended by Katalin Schmittné Makray, the hereditary flag pilgrim, and Imre Rumi, the president of the association.

The Hungarian Pilgrimage Route leads from Esztergom to Siklós-Máriagyud, touching domestic holy places. It crosses the backbone of our country from country border to country border. It gives a cross-section of Hungary, our natural and built assets, and the lives of the people living here.

Afterwards, last year's standard-bearer, Katalin Kardosné Gyurkó, who completed the 360 ​​kilometers of the pilgrimage on foot, handed over the baton to her successor, who will complete the journey by bicycle.

Ibolya Izsák performed Sándor Reményik's poem "So I Remember" as a pilgrimage poem. The president of the association, Imre Rumi, presented this year's plans and said that the fourteen-year-old association will start its year-opening pilgrimage on April 12, which will start in front of the Hegyvidéki Self-Government building. As he said, the pilgrimage route holds countless surprises, so it is always exciting to complete this distance.
