Some chapters of András Kelemen's two-volume memoir were published in Életünk magazine.

The author writes about himself:

My parents fled Transylvania when, according to the wry Székely humor:

"we won until the whole of Romania was annexed to us".

I, too, was born during the war in 1940 and then grew up in a dictatorship. I lived in rebellion against it, and for lack of other means, I dealt with the healing of souls. In this capacity, I became familiar with the problems of the people of Fejér County, and undertook my share of system change.

I organized MDF and was elected to the National Assembly in 1990. Due to repeated elections, I was a member of the T. House until 2010; From 1998, as a delegate of the Bicske district.

I was the Secretary of State for People's Welfare and Foreign Affairs of the Antall government, a delegate to the ET and NYEU parliamentary assemblies (in the latter, head of delegation until 2002), and I was a member of the European Parliament and participated in the work of the European Convention. I led the foreign affairs working group of the MDF faction, and I was the foreign affairs vice-president of the MDF until my resignation. When the MDF was derailed, the party was unlawfully excluded, and I continued my parliamentary work as a member of the Fidesz representative group until 2010. Then, until 2019, I worked as the chief adviser on foreign affairs to the president of the parliament.

I have participated in many civil organizations, and I am the vice president of the National Forum.

During my career, many scientific and public political writings, as well as a series of literary translations - and some works of fiction - left my pen, and later my (writing - and calculating) machine.

The text of the cover of the already published volume I:

Many thousand midnights - on Hungarian soil...

Although I certainly can't be like Seherazade, that's how the story of this book started. I often told bedtime stories to my toddler grandchildren, even though my wife pointed out to me that my stories are usually not soporific. They couldn't be, because most of the time they were about the distant reality. Thus, war, family breakdown, and cruel experiences were also part of it.

And then, as they trudged along, they became more and more interested in everything that happened to me; and then it was no longer enough to rely on my memory, but I also started to organize my written footprints. And when the stories of change started pouring in from the independence of our country, I discovered:

how many things I experienced differently.

My life turned out in such a way that I was close to the top, I lived together with those who tried to control the destiny of the country, but as a rural representative and in the management position of civil organizations, I was never separated from the joys and worries of everyday people. If you like, I saw what was happening from the second line: I saw the cliff eagles (and vultures) above my head, but the landscape below me did not become a map either.

My history is therefore closer to everyday life, as if it were a professional historical work; and I talk about everything as honestly as possible. My book can also be filmed as an adventure novel, because if you take on the challenges, your life will become one too, dear Reader!

II, which is about to be published. about volume:

In this book, the author vividly presents the domestic political events between 1998 and 2010, from a specific, "second-line" point of view. It gives an experiential presentation of the development of the local activities of the member of parliament in a constituency that has so far been said to be barren, while the death throes of the original MDF are taking place nationally. At the same time, the Budapest-Strasbourg axis is also a big challenge.

At home, the roles of the government party and the opposition party alternate, which eventually leads to the downfall of the drifting country management during tough struggles.

Based on personal experiences, the work was written with a literary need, in addition to its twisty plot, its documentary power makes it especially valuable for readers with an interest in history, although the facts and events contained in it provide new knowledge to all readers.
