I have been meditating for some time now that we should turn off the TV, the Internet, we should get rid of the social network, all the diseases that spread and wander in the ether, because the flood of news is slowly causing a defect, which is completely overwhelmed by the incitement to war, the rattling of weapons, the threatening, harassing people without a collar. The terror, the war psychosis. Being a publicist, of course I can't do it, but as they say: there would be demand for it.
It's spring. I look at how the lush grass grows in the garden, slowly I have to get used to the idea of mowing the lawn, I also have to line the fence with some ivy or wild grapes, plant a fruit tree or two, maybe cherries, peaches, apples. So to beautify and utilize my environment. Then you should also take out your fishing rod, because the waters are bubbling, the coastal willows have already put on a green skirt. And at dawn, the chorus of songbirds rings out, and the neighborhood is loud with the turbulation of gerbils.
Yes, this life could be normal, the blood pressure is lower, the evenings are quieter. A good book, a Haydn sonata, splashing around with the neighbors on the terrace, and of course a trip, telling stories to the grandchildren. But for some time everything has been ruined by the war, the tension, the worry about what awaits the children.
What will happen to them if the villains, who supposedly have no children and grandchildren, will not let them live in peace? He who has eaten the good of his bread always thinks of them. Because who could you think of?
But here come the Macrons, the Bears, the Leyens, the Zelenskys and the other saber-rattling people, to whom masses of people (or not) gave power to them. At least it seems that they are the ones who come up with their mind-blowing ideas, because let us have no illusions, they are not the ones planning the slaughter of millions of people, but those faceless old men who may even call the ashes mummy, but they plan and give orders anyway.
For more than a week, the Western world has been buzzing with the French president's blunt statement. Many people are trying to decipher what he said and why he said what he said. Has the glory gone to his head and fancies himself a little Napoleon? Seeing Germany falling to ruin, does he want to take over the imaginary marshal's baton and rule Europe? Which? The destroyed, the burned?
Or were they "just" whispering to him - perhaps those who thought of blowing up the northern gas pipeline at the bottom of the sea - to prepare the ground? Because for great wars, the masses must first be prepared. They have to be led astray, told huge lies to them, kept in fear, and then fired up. Everything has its own logic and literature.
In the meantime, a storm broke out in the small Slovak sandbox, as the Slovak foreign minister was in Antalya last Friday in such an argument that he dared to sit down with the Russian foreign minister Lavrov. The attack came immediately, which turned into continuous snare fire. After President Čaputová, the political parties also pulled out their wooden daggers, waving and flapping around themselves in the grateful media, which jumps on every sensation. Let me not list them, I had dinner recently.
The most amusing of all was the expression of the party leader of the Christian Democrats, Majerský, who called the trial of the foreign minister "trampling Slovak pride in the mud". Then when they asked him the question that since the American foreign minister also negotiated with Lavrov, what did he say to that? And the exhausting, chiseled answer came: Uhh...
Then he added some unimportant slogan, but this deep and clear Umm… hung around for a long time in the living room where I was watching the news.
At this point, what can one think? It almost does not matter which politician the son of man likes, be it liberal or Christian Democrat, Green or People's Party, Social Democrat or Nationalist, but whoever incites, knowingly and deliberately lies, and refuses to talk about peace, participates in this madness.
It should be excluded from the society of civilized people. He bears the same responsibility for the piles of corpses, for the pain of orphans, widows, parents forced to bury their children, for the immeasurable destruction, as those who invent and plan wars. It doesn't matter if they do it out of stupidity, cowardice, or profiteering, they are equally villains.
And of course, one remembers the long-ago wars, when the generals stood at the head of their troops and shouted not forward, but behind me! True, the old warlords were primitive and not as shrewd as their successors today. But go to war if you want, but stand at the head of your armies and don't incite in the hope of a super-protected bunker! And follow whoever wants to. So, Mr. Macron and the other chest-beaters, go ahead with courage!
Only after you, Mr. Macron! After you!
