Bálint Somkuti pointed out that there is a real chance that NATO will drift into the war, from which it would most likely come out as a loser.

The danger of a world war was further increased by the statements made by Western politicians in recent days: French President Emmanuel Macron opened the door when he said that the sending of NATO troops to Ukraine should not be ruled out. The fact that the Secretary General of NATO already wants to discuss Macron's World War plan does not reduce the problem. According to the analyst speaking to M1, if this continues, there is a real chance that NATO will drift into war.

Emmanuel Macron's dangerous statements have caused enormous outrage worldwide, as they threaten the outbreak of the third world war. In addition to Hungary, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden and Italy also announced that they will not send soldiers to the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The Secretary General of NATO has repeatedly distanced himself from the statements of the French president and confirmed that NATO does not plan to send soldiers to Ukraine. Jens Stoltenberg told Reuters that he considers it important to personally discuss his statements with Emmanuel Macron.

However, more and more statements are being made that point in the direction of the expansion of the war.

According to the Finnish Prime Minister, the European Union must continue to support Ukraine in order for Kyiv to win the war and strengthen its own defense capabilities.

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski recently spoke about the fact that NATO soldiers are already in Ukraine, for which he thanked the countries that took this risk.

The Lithuanian foreign minister spoke about the abolition of red lines and support for Ukraine, the Czech president Petr Pavel about the possible presence of Western troops in Ukraine, and the Latvian president about the continuation of the fight.

And the Ukrainian foreign minister said: he is tired of everyone being afraid of escalation. Dmitro Kuleba put it this way: the previous arms shipments did not lead to this either, and according to him, Vladimir Putin is only threatening.

Moscow's response was not delayed either, foreign affairs spokeswoman Marija Zaharova called on NATO to stop denying that its soldiers are in Ukraine.

According to Bálint Somkuti, a researcher at the Mathias Corvinus Collegium's geopolitical workshop, there is a real chance that NATO will drift into the war, from which it would most likely come out as a loser. According to Bálint Somkuti, Emmanuel Macron does not listen to his advisers, which could lead to a disaster.

“There may be NATO assets that France would use in such a march. This is a very, very dangerous and interesting situation. I don't understand why Macron is playing with fire, because his international support is clearly not there, I don't know what he could achieve with this in domestic politics," Bálint Somkuti argued.

The researcher pointed out that all signs point to the fact that Russia does not aim to occupy all of Ukraine, but rather to overthrow the leadership in Kyiv and make the country's operations impossible.
