The former Minister of Justice poured clean water into the glass.
“Shock. Péter Magyar really did it. He has been blackmailing her for more than a year," Judit Varga responded to the recording made public by her ex-husband on her Facebook page.
In a post published on the social media page of the former justice minister, he wrote: "Péter Magyar made a secret audio recording of his former spouse, me, in our shared home and now used it to achieve his political goals.
Such a person is not worthy of any trust".
As he put it, the man who was gifted with three sons was capable of this. "The man who I gave countless chances to start over with love and hope during the terrible years of relationship violence did this to me. I wouldn't wish that feeling on anyone.
I look at this cruel face, listen to this measured voice in last night's interview and I get the chills. He lies and manipulates”
- wrote Judit Varga, who called her ex-husband's behavior stomach-turning. "It reminds me of everything I've had to go through in the last 16 years," he added.
The former justice minister wrote: “He has terrorized before and still hasn't stopped. And he continues his games. As I understand it, he is eavesdropping on his own wife to protect his own family. But now he prefers to betray them and maybe the homeland can be saved this way. What is going on here? What is this madness?”
"I remember that period well. Because even then there was plenty of verbal and physical violence. The memory of one such incident in January is vivid in my mind, when I spent the evening with my sister. He was having fun somewhere else, in a company. Of the two of us, I got home earlier. I went to bed and woke up around two in the morning to find him coming home.
He came into the bedroom in a frenzy, turned on the light, and I heard him lashing out in a heavily drunken voice, with assorted insults, that I imagine I'm going to discredit him in front of his friends because he couldn't reach me on the phone. I used the method I had developed over the years, that it is better not to speak at such times, and I remained as I was, lying on my side with my back to him, waiting for him to calm down in the absence of answers. But he didn't stop. While screaming and cursing, he pulled down the books on top of the headboard one by one and slammed them against my back. Some of the books fell through me and landed on the floor next to me. I remember well, because the next morning I tidied up.
Then he took off his pants and cut them to me along with the belt. I felt the buckle hitting my back. I tried to crouch smaller and smaller and waited for the next blow, I was afraid that it would hit my spine, but I didn't dare to move. Meanwhile, I was thinking of a nice melody to end this scene as soon as possible. Because I had plenty of routine in this. My listening came in, once it was over, he went out into the living room and laid down on the sofa, where he finally fell asleep. It was a terrible feeling. But I wasn't interested then."
Judit Varga continued that she had already decided to divorce him a long time ago.
"Then I announced my intention to divorce him.
First he begged and vowed in his usual way, as he had done so many times over the past 16 years. He used all the old tricks and methods that had always successfully put him back on the roller coaster of relationship violence before. But this time I decided to go through with it. I will find a way out," he admitted.
He recalled, "when Péter saw that the bogus apologies and handwritten grand vows were no longer going anywhere, he started threatening.
This is also the context of this recording. He is already prepared. Not to protect his family or his wife, but to blackmail him cruelly. Because he couldn't let the host that provided him with everything cut off his tendrils. Provoked. He read the rumors in the press and since he had been terrorizing me for days, I told him what he wanted to hear so that I could be released as soon as possible. In such a situation, it can happen to any person that, in a state of intimidation, he says things that he does not mean seriously".
Judit Varga emphasized
he is proud that he was the minister of justice in the government led by Viktor Orbán and that he is a member of Fidesz. Despite all the conflicts and attacks, he feels it is a great honor to have been able to serve his country for many good causes.
At the end of his post, he wrote, "According to Péter Magyar, he is being discredited in the press." "I see it differently. Former colleagues and close friends tell us who he really is.
Péter Magyar caused a lot of pain not only to his own family, but also to his friends and many people around him.
It's another pain for everyone to have to watch this vile manipulation," concluded Judit Varga.
